1. Who is covered
The first homeowner to own the cabinets after they're installed, while that person owns that home. On a job sold through a dealer, designer or contractor, that's the homeowner. The warranty doesn't transfer to a later owner of the home.
On rental or commercial property, the property's owner is covered for one year from delivery.
2. Our three guarantees
2.1 Built to your drawing
Before we build, you approve a drawing of each wall and a finish sample, and you keep a copy of both. If a cabinet we deliver doesn't match that drawing, or its finish doesn't match that sample, we build it again at no charge. Tell us within 30 days of delivery. Wood is natural, so grain and color vary from piece to piece; that isn't a mismatch.
2.2 Made to fit
If we measured your room and a cabinet doesn't fit, we fix it or rebuild it at no charge, labor included. This applies while the room and the appliances you told us about haven't changed since we measured. Tell us within 30 days of delivery.
2.3 Your price holds
Your written quote is good for 30 days. Once you sign, it doesn't change unless you change the job, in writing.
When a dealer, designer or contractor sends us the drawing and measurements, we build from them. If a cabinet doesn't match their drawing, we rebuild it under Built to your drawing. If the drawing or the measurements were wrong, that's theirs to fix, and Made to fit doesn't apply because we didn't measure.
3. What we'll do
This applies to everything the warranty covers, the guarantees included. On cabinets we installed, we cover parts and labor. On cabinets someone else installed, we provide the repaired or new part and you arrange the swap. Made to fit is the exception: we cover the labor on that repair whoever installed the cabinets. Outside the guarantees, we'll repair, replace or refinish the part, whichever we choose. A new or refinished part may not exactly match a finish that has aged.
4. What isn't covered
- Damage from water, leaks or moisture, including damp towels hung over doors.
- Damage from extreme humidity or heat, or from a home left unheated.
- Natural wood character: grain, knots, color differences, and color that changes with age and sunlight.
- Fine lines where the pieces of a painted door or frame meet. They come from normal seasonal wood movement.
- Everyday wear, such as nicks, chips and scratches, and damage from harsh cleaners.
- Accidents, misuse, and changes or repairs made by someone else.
- Damage caused by an installation we didn't do, or by storage we didn't handle.
- Counters, sinks, appliances, lighting and anything else we didn't make.
- Lost use, inconvenience, or damage to anything other than the cabinets.
5. How to make a claim
Text photos to (832) 794-5214, call us, send us a message through our contact form (choose Past Cedar Ridge customer), or write to Cedar Ridge Cabinetry, LLC, 13471 Denmark Rd, Coal City, IN 47427. Include your name, the address where the cabinets are, and roughly when they were delivered or installed. If the photos aren't enough, we'll set a time to look in person. A part we rebuild goes ahead of new work on our schedule.
If a dealer, designer or contractor sold you the cabinets, you can bring the claim to us directly or through them, whichever suits you. If your contractor installed the cabinets, they handle the install and we handle the cabinet.
6. Implied warranties and your rights
Any implied warranty, including the implied warranties of merchantability and fitness for a particular purpose, lasts only as long as the part of this warranty that covers the same thing.
Some States do not allow limitations on how long an implied warranty lasts, so the above limitation may not apply to you. Some States do not allow the exclusion or limitation of incidental or consequential damages, so the above limitation or exclusion may not apply to you. This warranty gives you specific legal rights, and you may also have other rights which vary from State to State.
